GOOD NEWS WISCONSIN | Community Spotlight

Five Years of Faith, Coffee, and Community at Mocha Lisa Coffeehouse

Caledonia, Wisconsin In a world that often feels rushed, Mocha Lisa Coffeehouse remains a place where time slows down, conversations matter, and community comes first. This year, owners Sheri and Craig are celebrating five years in business, marking a meaningful milestone rooted in faith, courage, and a shared love for people and great coffee.

Sheri and Craig stepped fully into the coffee world in 2022, taking what they describe as a full faith swing into ownership. What followed was not just a business venture, but a calling centered on hospitality, warmth, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome the moment they walk through the door.

The coffeehouse itself holds deep roots in Wisconsin history. Established in 2004 as Racine’s original coffeehouse, Mocha Lisa began inside a beautifully preserved 1882 farmhouse. Founded by Susan Kennedy Torine, the shop quickly became a local favorite. Over the years, it evolved under longtime owners Sue and Scott, continuing to grow as a hub for creativity, connection, and comfort.

Today, under Sheri and Craig’s leadership, Mocha Lisa continues that legacy while adding new energy and vision. The cafĂ© is known for its cozy farmhouse atmosphere, high quality coffee and specialty drinks, rotating local art displays, and a steady lineup of community focused events that bring neighbors together.

This place is bigger than coffee, the owners often share. It’s about faith, relationships, and creating a space that feels like home.

Five years in, that mission is clearly working & Sheri loves it . Mocha Lisa Coffeehouse stands as a shining example of what happens when passion meets purpose and when a historic building continues to serve as the heart of the community.

As Caledonia grows, one thing remains certain. Mocha Lisa Coffeehouse is not just serving coffee. It is serving connection, comfort, and good news one cup at a time
